You are in for a surprise! This apricot cream cheese dip is to die for.

I mean it is that good! Several years ago, my family decided to have our Christmas a weekend later, because I had major surgery on December 15 of that year. 

We decided to have an easy menu, so soups, sandwiches, chips, crackers, and dips it was. My daughter made this amazing apricot cream cheese dip and I was hooked.

For many weeks after that, I craved this dip. So she gave me the recipe.

And I made this dip every week for a couple of weeks. I halved the recipe though. 

The full recipe was too much for just me without it going bad before I could get it all eaten. If you need a dip in a hurry for unexpected guests.

No problem. This apricot cream cheese dip comes together in 10 minutes.

Cream cheese is made from cow’s milk and cream. It is a soft cheese with a sweet and slightly tangy taste.

If you don’t have time to cook bacon, you can substitute Hormel’s real bacon bits. My daughter prefers to cook the bacon but I have to admit I have used the prepackaged real bacon bits and pieces.

I know the recipe states just the green portions of the green onions. But I have to be honest here.

I did go a little crazy with the chopping and accidentally got some of the white portions into the dip. Honestly, it didn’t hurt as it was just a little but the onion taste was just a little stronger.
